Success at the Seahorse

Tim Chance and Lorrie Browne can often be spotted supporting JustWorld International at numerous fundraising events hosted by the non-profit organization, but on Sunday evening they switched roles from attendees to extraordinary hosts.

Chance and Browne, of Lorrie Browne Interiors, recently decided that they wanted to do something on their own to increase awareness of JustWorld and to raise funds for the organization that is committed to creating positive change for children around the world. So on Sunday, March 15 Chance and Browne gathered 50 friends, colleagues and family members for a special dinner at Seahorse Fashion Cuisine in Wellington, Florida.

“The idea for the event was inspired by our desire to introduce others to JustWorld International,” Chance explained. “The Seahorse provided an intimate backdrop that helped foster friendship and a shared purpose for the evening. We were able to successfully connect our friends, clients, and family to this wonderful organization.”

The dinner guests were able to learn more about JustWorld International, some for the first time, while also having the opportunity to purchase ‘plates’ in support of the charity. Each plate depicted JustWorld’s projects from around the world and represented something that could be provided for the children when that plate was purchased at the specified dollar amount.

By the end of the evening more than $15,000 had been raised for JustWorld – all thanks to Chance and Browne.

“The generosity of our guests was very humbling. And, the staff and food at the Seahorse were phenomenal,” Chance said.

“When we were introduced to JustWorld, we were impressed by their focus and results-driven projects. By working with trusted partners who are already making progress on the ground, they are able to greatly improve the lives of the children in a meaningful, holistic and immediate way,” Brown said. “From an emotional standpoint, we love to see happy, healthy children. From a business standpoint, we value efficiency and tangible results.”
