Deauville, France – May 1, 2013 – Normandy’s largest equestrian center The Pole International Du Cheval (in Deauville, France) joins the equestrian events organizing association of Deauville to support JustWorld International as their official charity partner. Through this partnership, both parties show their commitment in going above and beyond the equestrian sport by contributing to the finance of educational and vocational programs serving impoverished children in developing countries.
The CSIO Junior/Young Riders competition, which will take place in Deauville, France on May 23-26, will mark the official launch of an awareness campaign for JustWorld International. For the past decade, the humanitarian organization has acted as a catalyst for positive change in the developing world. More than 6,000 children have already benefited from JustWorld’s programs targeting education, health, hygiene, nutrition, and personal development. JustWorld works with well-established local partner organizations to ensure an effective community buy-in and relevance.
“In 2012, The Pole International Du Cheval was the first equestrian center in France to welcome JustWorld’s fundraising efforts for our re-launch in Europe,” said Jessica Newman, JustW orld co-founder and executive director. “We are extremely flattered to have been chosen as the official charity partner. Each year, hundreds of children join our programs and gain access to the possibility of building a better future. The support raised through this new partnership will help us to achieve our goals.”
A natural choice for Deauville
Very enthusiastically, Joëlle Mestrallet, President of Deauville Sports Equestres which co-organizes most of the competitions in Deauville, immediately approved this project. “Thanks to my many trips to international horse shows, I have met Jessica Newman and learned more about her organization. I have been very touched by this action for children. Last year, we were the first horse show to raise funds in Europe by organizing a horseless horse show. Its success immediately convinced us we had to do more.”
Official launch during the CSIO
The biggest event of this upcoming season in Deauville will be the CSIO for Junior and Young Riders, which will take place May 23rd through the 26th. More than 200 children and teenagers from all over the world will participate during the four days of competition. It will be the perfect way to unveil this new partnership during an evening party on Friday, May 24th. Riders and their families will have the opportunity to participate in their first Horseless Horse Show while professional JustWorld Ambassador Riders will sensitize the younger generation to the need for integration of philanthropy in their everyday life.
