The 2016 Wellington Masters World Cup is one of only seven East Coast qualifying events in the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American league for the 2016 World Cup Jumping Final. Charlie Jacobs, CEO of the Boston Bruins, shared, “As a competitor, I am honored to be a part of this word-class event, and my family shares my commitment to preserving this class in Wellington.” Deeridge Farm will host what’s being billed as a stand alone FEI World Cup qualifier event with additional classes for all skill levels during the first week of February, 2016.
The Wellington Masters World Cup believes in JustWorld’s mission of breaking the cycle of poverty by funding local partners around the world to benefit children. “It’s exciting to use our family’s farm to host the best event possible for the Longines FEI World Cup qualifier and at the same time, to support a Wellington-based charity among the equestrian world doing extraordinary work. We were thrilled to be the Presenting Sponsor at the 13th Annual Gala and to be a part of such a fantastic cause,” explained Charlie Jacobs.
JustWorld International and the Wellington Masters, the 13th Annual Gala Presenting Sponsor, were excited to share that the 2016 Gala was a huge success, offering a night full of lively dancing, entertainment and celebration all to benefit JustWorld partner projects. More than 600 guests came together to celebrate and raise funds for the extraordinary work JustWorld is doing around the world to support more than 6,000 children in Honduras, Guatemala, Cambodia and Colombia. As the Presenting Sponsor, the Wellington Masters World Cup made a generous donation to help support JustWorld’s partners around the world. These partners help sustain programs that provide basic needs to children with little opportunity to receive support from other sources. With their donation, hundreds of children will be supported through education, nutrition, health and hygiene, and leadership and cultural development programs.
JustWorld and the Wellington Masters are thrilled to announce that they will be bringing more exciting entertainment to Wellington- The JustWorld Kid Zone. The JustWorld Kid Zone will be held during the Wellington Masters Longines FEI World Cup on both Saturday, February 6th from 11:00-1:00 pm and Sunday, February 7th from 9:00-11:00 am.
