Why Jump for a Just World?
"I joined JustWorld International as an ambassador because I believe in the purpose of the foundation," said Marquee who pledges 10% of all her winnings to the organizaton. "As a rider, I believe I can spread the awareness and bring more attention to JustWorld in order to help raise funds for its projects. I will work hard to encourage more young riders to join JustWorld. I think it's important for kids to get a chance to help kids. I want to play a part in helping others that are not as fortunate as I am."
Show jumping runs in the family for young Marquee Cincotta. Her aunt is the highly acclaimed Grand Prix competitor and frequent United States Equestrian Team member, Debbie Stephens.
Marquee has certainly inherited a passion for the sport, and her aunt is helping her by offering her coaching and providing her with ponies and horses to ride. One of those horses is Debbie's former grand prix mount, Chappie. At the 2007 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, Marquee guided Chappie to the top of the first round of the FEI Children's Final Qualifier, a special international competition for young show jumping competitors aged 12 to 14.
When not busy with her competition schedule, Marquee enjoys tennis and volleyball.
