Why Jump for a Just World?
"I became a rider ambassador for JustWorld International because I feel it is crucial to raise awareness in the equestrian industry," explained Rozier. "I take pride in promoting the cause. I want to use my position of being in the spotlight as an international competitor to set an example and to help motivate youth to get involved, to look at the world around them and take the initiative to make it a better place."
Philippe Rozier is one of France’s most successful show jumping athletes. In his long career, he has represented his country in more than 70 Nations’ Cup events, as well as making several Olympic, World Championship and European Championship appearances.
At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, Philippe was a member of the French Team that finished sixth, and at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, narrowly missed claiming a bronze medal when France finished fourth. While an Olympic medal has eluded Philippe to date, he was a member of the Silver Medal Team at the 1994 World Equestrian Games in The Hague, also enjoying a top ten finish individually. In European Championship competition, Philippe won back-to-back Team Silver Medals in 1987 and 1989.
