An Olympic, World Championship and European Championship veteran, Eric Navet has become a mainstay of the French Show Jumping Team. After winning the title of World Champion in 1990, Eric was crowned European Champion the following year, in 1991, riding Quito de Baussy by Jalisco B.
A decade later, Eric was still at the top of his game at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain, where he again led his teammates to the hard-fought Gold Medal. Eric was in first place heading into the ‘final four’ competition, which takes place only at the World Championships and sees the top four riders in the standings jump four rounds, once on their own horse, and three on the other three competitor’s horses. With a strong performance, Navet added the Individual Silver to his Team Gold, capping off a memorable experience in Spain with Dollar du Murier, a selle francais breeding stallion and another son of the influential Jalisco B, that he was partnered with for seven years, including at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
