Why Jump for a Just World?
"I think that when we are riding and competing, we can get a little
consumed by it and stay in a bubble while there are people out there that
are not as fortunate and need our help," said Harrison about her motivation
for becoming a JustWorld International Rider Representative. |

After becoming a JustWorld International Ambassador in January of 2005, Cayce
Harrison had a very successful start to being representative for the cause. The
Illinois native encountered one of the biggest challenges in her young career when
she faced off against two Olympic riders in the $50,000 Kilkenny Internationale Cup
Grand Prix in Wellington, FL. Cayce was one of only three riders able to jump clear
in the first round and she, along with Laura Kraut and Lauren Hough, headed into the
jump-off knowing that the competition would be tight. Cayce and her mount Coeur were
fast, but knocked down one rail just three fences from the end of the course. Their
second place finish behind Laura Kraut was strong for a young rider just beginning
her Grand Prix career.
