Luciana Diniz made a name for herself riding as a member of the Brazilian Team, representing it 25 times in Nations' Cup competition. At only 23 years of age, she represented Brazil at the 1994 World Equestrian Games where she was a member of the fourth placed team. She then made her Olympic debut in Athens, Greece, in 2004 riding Mariachi.
In the summer of 2006, Luciana made the decision to switch her citizenship to Portugal. She successfully represented her newly adopted country as an individual at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, placing 23rd overall.
A JustWorld Rider Ambassador since 2006, Luciana introduced JustWorld International to its newest project site in Brazil.
