BIOGRAPHY
 

Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein is the daughter of His Majesty the late King Hussein I of Jordan (1935-1999) and Her Majesty the late Queen Alia Al Hussein of Jordan (1948-1977).

Princess Haya was born on the 3rd of May 1974. She received her early education in Jordan. In 1985 she attended Badminton Boarding School for girls, in Bristol, England, where she sat for and received fourteen GCSEs. She represented her school in the choir as a Soprano, and orchestra playing the flute. She was also a member of the swimming team (butterfly 50m, IM); netball and athletics team. She was the captain of the field hockey team for three years and played as center forward. She was also the captain of the school debating team for two years. She next attended Bryanston School in Dorset, where she received four A Levels in Classical Arabic; English Literature; Politics and Government and History. In 1992 she enrolled at St Hilda’s College at Oxford University and graduated in June 1995 with an Honors Degree MA; BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.(P.P.E.)
